A team formed at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR has been given the responsibility to review the National Lighting Code SP 72 by the Bureau of Indian Standards, Govt. of India.
The pics are those of 3rd March, 2023, when Mrs. Neha Agarwal, Scientist ‘C’ & Deputy Director, Bureau of Indian Standards, Govt. of India visited UEM Jaipur Campus to meet the said Team of UEM Jaipur.
The team members are Dr. Aniruddha Mukherjee, kean, UEM Jaipur and Prof. Sandip Das, HoD ECE Dept, Prof. Dr. Ankit Kumar Sharma, HOD, Electrical Dept.
During the review meet Prof. Sandip Das presented the course of action, plan of work and timeline to complete the project by the team to review about 42 chapters of Lighting Handbook.
There was extensive discussion about ideas and knowledge sharing between Mrs. Neha Agarwal, Scientist ‘C, BIS, Dr. Aniruddha Mukherjee, Dr. Rajat Mandal, Project Leader (BIS) and Prof. Sandip Das. Mrs. Neha Agarwal also presented about guidelines, specifications, need and areas of standardisation of Lighting Code of Practice. The discussion and review meet went well and the Team effort of UEM Jaipur was also praised.
