A group of 1st-year students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR developed a device for tracking the field employees. They called it GoFAS. The GoFAS is an IoT-enabled Geo-fencing based Biometric Attendance System. As seen in the video, when switched ON, it boots and checks for its various processes, one by one. After every successful booting, it gives a beep to ensure the process is okay. Next, the device consumes a short time to fetch details from the cloud through IoT. It displays the Task name, current date, time and GPS coordinate. The fingerprint sensor gets activated only when the user is within the fencing region. After the fingerprint is scanned, the device uploads the data to the cloud again. In this way, it monitors the attendance of the person time to time.
