BEACON - E-Cell of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur organized a startup at talk by Mr. Dilnawaz Khan, an eminent entrepreneur of Jaipur on 6th August, 2019. Mr. Dilnawaz is the owner of Codedesign Lab, Power Deck and some other companies. He mainly interacted with the students who are interested in Entrepreneurship. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur is now a network institute of ISRO - Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) outreach network. Students of UEM Jaipur can learn and experience the field of Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System, Digital Image Analysis, Global Navigation Satellite System and their applications under this ISRO - IIRS Outreach Programme on "Basic of RS, GIS and GNSS".

Appventurez Mobitech Pvt. Ltd. conducted campus placement drive for the current final year (2020 to be passing out batch) students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur at the University premises on 10th August, 2019. It is a matter of pride for the University that Rudradeb Das, alumni member of UEM Jaipur also came to conduct the placement drive to his Alma Mater along with his colleagues, on behalf of his company Appventurez. The students of the School of Management, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur made an industrial visit to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). With the objective of enriching the knowledge and exposure of the students to the Capital market and the role of Securities and Exchange Board of India in regulating the market, this study visit was organised for the students. Taking advantage of this golden opportunity, all the students of UG and PG program became a part of this exciting visit. The main reason for organizing the visit was to propel experiential education to which the University is fully committed. The session started with the students learning about the history of SEBI; it’s working and standing in the current operating exchanges in India. In the session, Mr Sanjay Singh Bhati, DGM at SEBI Jaipur office explained the role and relevance of SEBI to the students. He said that SEBI acts as a regulator, and hence, it cannot enforce anything on anybody in the case of even frauds. However, he also cleared that their motto is investor safety and investor awareness. They always guide investors to avoid fraud. Giving an example, they said that they often tell the investors to never sign columns in a form without reading and knowing about them clearly. Under SEBI preview, Mr Gaurav Khinvsara said that all transactions made in the securities market are subject to the guidelines of SEBI. All the primary and secondary market transactions done in stocks are under the preview of SEBI. SEBI visit was very beneficial for the students. Students learned various important aspects of SEBI. The learning session was followed by interactive Questions & Answers round wherein the students got to speak their minds and share their queries. SEBI officials listened to every query of the students patiently and answered all the questions well. Such visits are regular features at UEM and form part of the curriculum of UEM. It is designed to combine practical exposure with academic inputs. These visits prepare the students for facing the challenges in the career. MEGAMOR - an Aritificial Intelligence(AI) based voice-controlled virtual assistant designed for computer, designed by Sreyaskam Ghoshal 2nd year student of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur. You can instruct it to do different functions by giving voice commands. Please see the video to understand the application. This is a computer-based application meant to -give reminders based on time, places, or people. -send emails and texts. -manage your calendar and keep you up to date. -play music, podcasts, and radio stations. -chit chat with you. -find facts, files, places, and info from Google, YouTube, Wikipedia etc. -open any app on your system. Further Hands-on Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur being held at the computer laboratory in the University premises.   The speaker is Prof. Bipul Kumar Shahi, reputed corporate trainer in the field of "IOT, Artificial Intelligence and Android App Development".   Students of UEM Jaipur are immensely gaining from the workshop and actually learning hands-on.
