UEM JAIPUR has been assigned the mentoring role for Adult Education in entire Rajasthan by Rotary India Literacy Mission. Under the initiative, Adult Education Program has also been started in Kota Bundi district by UEM JAIPUR. The adult education program organized by University of Engineering and Management Jaipur and Rotary India Literacy Mission was launched in 20 villages of Kota Bundi district. Bundi MLA Mr. Ashok Dogra, UEM JAIPUR Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee, Project Deputy Director Sandeep Agarwal, Manish Shringi , Ramesh Chander from Rotary Club, Pradhuman Patni etc. were present in the program.  

Pics of the students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR attending the lecture by Noble Laureate, Knight Sir Novoselov (for discovery of Graphene) on 14th October, 2022, on the occasion of National Innovation Day. Graphene is an allotrope of carbon consisting of a single layer of atoms arranged in a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice nanostructure. The name is derived from "graphite" and the suffix -ene, reflecting the fact that the graphite allotrope of carbon contains numerous double bonds. In 2004, graphene was rediscovered, isolated and investigated at the University of Manchester, by Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov. In 2010, Geim and Novoselov were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for their "groundbreaking experiments regarding the two-dimensional material graphene". High-quality graphene proved to be surprisingly easy to isolate. Sir Novoselov informed that Graphene has become a valuable and useful nanomaterial due to its exceptionally high tensile strength, electrical conductivity, transparency, and being the thinnest two-dimensional material in the world it has most of the demand in research and development of semiconductors, electronics, electric batteries and composites. More than 600 students attended the lecture of Nobel Laureate Knight Sir Novoselov with great enthusiasm and asked questions related to his work and efforts towards getting such a breakthrough. All teachers and staff members of UEM Jaipur were also present in the session.  

Office of Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Government of India has successfully conducted the IPR awareness/training program under the special mission called “National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM)” at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR on 18/08/2022. The office appreciated the active participation and cooperation by Prof. Umesh Gurnani, HoD Mechanical, UEM JAIPUR and Prof. Subhro Chakraborty, HoD Civil, UEM JAIPUR to make this special program successful at UEM Jaipur.

Glimpses of the 5 Days Hands on workshop (Excel and SPSS) at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR. School of Management UEM Jaipur organised 5 Days Hands on workshop (Excel and SPSS) for Management Students and Research Scholars from 19th to 23rd September 2022. It was a great learning experience for Research Scholars & Students  

These are some of the glimpses of Students of III Year BPT of DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPY of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR, who are going to 1 month HOSPITAL POSTING in SHALBY HOSPITAL, Jaipur. Students are getting great clinical exposure, as they are posted in various departments like OPD, MEDICAL WARD, SURGICAL WARD, MEDICAL ICU, CARDIO- THORACIC ICU, DIALYSIS, ONCOLOGY, CT SCAN. MRI SCAN, EMERGENCY, ECG, X-RAY, PATHOLOGY LAB etc. 2 Students on rotation basis are also allowed inside the OPERATION THEATRE to see various Surgeries Live like Knee Replacement, Hip replacement etc. Students are giving excellent feedback for the same. Students and teachers of BPT (Physiotherapy) of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR has been selected as Physiotherapy Trainers and Sports Recovery Coaches for Inter-state tournament of National Yuva Kabaddi Series being held at Jharkhand this quarter. Dr. Imran Khan, along with the students of Physiotherapy department are attending players of kabaddi teams from various states. The tournment will continue till 21 oct 2022. It is an interstate level tournament where the winning team will win the cash prize of Rs. 30 lakhs. The month long tournament is providing an excellent opportunity to students of BPT of UEM Jaipur to have live pratice and to interact with state level players.  

GDSC UEM JAIPUR is an initiative by Google Developers Community which aims to bring all University students from all over the world to solve real-world problems through Google technologies. “Google Developer Student Clubs” are university-based community groups for students interested in Google developer technologies. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome. ACM student chapter of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR in association with Institute Innovation Council (IIC), UEM Jaipur organized an offline Hackathon on 14th September, 2022. A total of 304 registrations were there including participants from many renowned higher education institutions. It was a 12 hours marathon which started around 10:00 AM and continued past midnight. A total of 28 teams reached the finals and eventually there were 3 winners. Some glimpses of the event are given here.
