As an integral part of\n        the institute, the Department plays a pivotal role in disseminating\n        knowledge par excellence to the first year B.Tech students both in the\n        fields of Basic Sciences as well as in English and Soft Skills. The\n        Department strictly adhering to the AICTE approved course module divides\n        the entire first year curriculum into two major divisions:\n      <\/p>\n      <ol class=\"list-style text-sm\">\n        <li>Scholastic Activities<\/li>\n        <li>Non-Scholastic Activities<\/li>\n      <\/ol>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"responsive-tab-content\" data-tab-content=\"schatv-ab\">\n      <h3 class=\"mb-4\">Scholastic Activities<\/h3>\n      <ul class=\"list-style text-sm\">\n        <li class=\"mb-2\">\n          <strong>Induction Module<\/strong>\n          <p class=\"text-sm\">\n            The regular teaching-learning process for the first year B.Tech\n            students initiate with the three -weeks Induction Module bridging\n            the transition from SCHOOL to COLLEGE.\n          <\/p>\n        <\/li>\n        <li class=\"mb-2\">\n          <strong>Teaching-Learning Methodology<\/strong>\n          <p class=\"text-sm\">\n            The teaching -learning methodology is promoted thoroughly through\n            classroom teaching and practical experimentations. The Department\n            has the state-of-art Physics Lab and Chemistry Lab to practice\n            hands-on laboratory sessions. Likewise, the Language Laboratory\n            plays a vital role in framing the communication and soft-skill\n            acumen of the individual students. However, apart from the regular\n            curricula multifarious co-curricular activities like the Olympiads\n            in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry are organized on a regular\n            basis to groom the analytical and cognitive skills of the individual\n            students.\n          <\/p>\n        <\/li>\n        <li class=\"mb-2\">\n          <strong>Invited Lecture\/Talk Series<\/strong>\n          <p class=\"text-sm\">\n            Regular invited lecture\/talk series by veteran academicians of\n            national and international stature stand as the flagship event of\n            the Department.\n          <\/p>\n        <\/li>\n        <li class=\"mb-2\">\n          <strong>On-Line MOOCs Courses<\/strong>\n          <p class=\"text-sm\">\n            The students are encouraged to register for online MOOCS certified\n            courses like NPTEL and SWAYAM to name a few.\n          <\/p>\n        <\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"responsive-tab-content\" data-tab-content=\"nschatv-ab\">\n      <h3 class=\"mb-4\">Non-scholastic Activities<\/h3>\n      <ul class=\"list-style text-sm\">\n        <li class=\"mb-2\">\n          <strong>Extra\/Co-curricular engagements<\/strong>\n          <p class=\"text-sm\">\n            Students are encouraged to participate in several\n            extra\/co-curricular activities including summer camps on robotics,\n            physics and mathematics, attending workshops, participating in\n            debate, poster competitions, essay competitions, music, plantation\n            workshops and sports to showcase their innate talents both at the\n            inter\/intra-college levels.\n          <\/p>\n          <p class=\"text-sm\">\n            The scholarly acumen of the Departmental students on a further note\n            remains counterpoised with multifarious achievements of the\n            Departmental faculty members encompassing academic and research\n            wings. Prolific and erudite team of faculty members with excellent\n            academic credentials of national and international repute contribute\n            harmoniously to the holistic growth of the Department. Regular\n            online registration and enrollment in numerous MOOC courses,\n            publication in reputed journals, patent filing, research grant\n            sanctioning and winning accolades by the\n          <\/p>\n          <p class=\"text-sm\">\n            departmental faculty members shine the academic brilliance and\n            research exuberance of the said department.\n          <\/p>\n        <\/li>\n        <li class=\"mb-2\">\n          <strong>Faculty Academic Excellence<\/strong>\n          <p class=\"text-sm\">\n            The consecutive academic brilliance attained by the Departmental\n            faculty members through scoring high marks in MOOCs (NPTEL\/ SWAYAM)\n            courses have added the feather of academic brilliance, ranking UEM\n            Kolkata first in the Local NPTEL Chapter.\n          <\/p>\n        <\/li>\n        <li class=\"mb-2\">\n          <strong>Departmental Research Out-reach<\/strong>\n          <p class=\"text-sm\">\n            (Departmental Journal)- The rich gamut of eminently dedicated\n            faculty members remains actively involved in promoting the\n            publication of the intra departmental journals (American Journal of\n            Physical Sciences and Applications (AJPSA) (ISSN 2644-0792.) and\n            American Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computing (ISSN: Online:\n            2689 \u2013 9957),\n          <\/p>\n        <\/li>\n        <li class=\"mb-2\">\n          <strong>Research Publications<\/strong>\n          <p class=\"text-sm\">\n            Regular publication by the Departmental faculty members in journals\n            of national and international recognition with High-Index Factor,\n            book chapter publication with ISSN and ISBN numbers, publications in\n            SCI, SSCI, SCOPUS Indexed, UGC CARE, Web of Science rated journals\n            highlights the high academic attainment of the faculty members.\n
