Hence, there is a major scope of employability of engineers in this field.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018Smart City Mission\u2019, an urban renewal and retrofitting program by the Government of India is launched, which aims <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to develop 100 cities across the country.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Metro Rail Projects are under construction in different cities all across India. Hence, a large number of civil engineers are required for planning, designing and executing of these projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Civil engineering students can give the IES examination conducted by the UPSC Board to seek job opportunities in Railways, CPWD, Postal Service, Central Water Commission, Military Engineering Services, Border Roads Organization (BRO)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students can also crack GATE examination to get employment from PSU\u2019s like IOCL, HPCL, Power Grid, RITES, NHPC, NTPC, NHAI, etc. or pursue higher studies in IIT\u2019s, NIT\u2019s or abroad.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Major civil engineering projects like Dubai Expo 2020, Fifa World Cup 2022 at Qatar, Jedda Tower in Soudi Arabia, Hong-Kong Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, etc. are due to be completed by next 4-7 years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Construction of housing Projects like Townships, Apartments, Office Building, Flats, etc. is an ever-growing industry and the intake of civil engineers in this sector will be on a rise in years to come.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Design, construction and erections of Infrastructures like Power Plants, Hospitals, Roadways, Railways, underground constructions of tunnels and metro railways requires a huge number of civil engineers in future.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The field of Civil Engineering is never ending, and keeps on growing whether in building infrastructures, residential buildings, construction of bridges, dams, tunnels, water and sewage treatment plants, etc. Govt. of India launched \u2018Bharatmala Pariyojana\u2019, a centrally sponsored and funded road and highway project aimed to construct 83,677kms of new highways with an estimated cost &hellip;
