UEM Kolkata is established in the year 2014 by Act No 25 of 2014 of Govt of West Bengal. Being located in New Town, the Smart City of Eastern India and very near to the Netaji Subhash International Airport, the students of the University are exposed to the top corporates. UEM Kolkata has stood one out of the top 10 institutes of India including all IITs and all NITs of the country in the NPTEL program ranked by IIT Kharagpur and IIT Chennai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IEM UEM group is an acclaimed educational group amongst the industry-centred academic training organisations of today. IEM has set sublime standards in addressing the technical and managerial resource<\/strong><\/a> shortage in the new era of dynamic globalisation. The IEM UEM group has risen to fame for its strong foundation in teaching and R&D in multifaceted areas. It aims to serve the future generation as well as the Nation through its commitment towards self sufficiency and unmatchable excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its inception, the IEM UEM group has surpassed innumerable benchmarks of achievements and accreditations. Today IEM flaunts a colossal network<\/strong><\/a> of expansive operations led by an awe-inspiring student force who are the torchbearers of a better tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IEM UEM Group has opened up the doors for young minds who dare to dream. It encourages the spirit of free enquiry and imagination. In this temple of learning, dreams take shape. The educational group attempts to inculcate the sense of human values and discipline in students to make them respectable human beings. It encourages learners to learn, to realize their potential and imbibe the best practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right from its inception the placement cells of both IEM and UEM have consistently provided for 1 to 2 jobs on average for all its students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

i) UEM Kolkata has won “AAA” category<\/strong> (first 10 institutes nationally among all institutes of India including all IITs and NITs) in NPTEL program (IIT Kharagpur and IIT Chennai)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ii) UEM Kolkata student has stood 1st amongst all students of India in NPTEL program<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iii) UEM Kolkata organized UEMCON-2016 in Columbia University, New York, USA in association with IEEE New York, IEEE USA and IEEE Region 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iv) The educational group has one of the strongest Placement Cells in the country. Right from its inception both IEM and UEM have provided for 1 to 2 jobs on an average for all its students. The same story has been repeated even in the year 2016 with all students of both IEM and UEM getting 1 to 2 job offers on average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also<\/p>\n\n\n\n

v) University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata was awarded The Progress Global Award 2021 under the category of University Awards for \u201cBEST UPCOMING UNIVERSITY\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

vi) QSI-GAUGE Rating (Gold Category) given to the University amongst Indian Colleges and Universities on 5th January, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

vii) The UEM & IEM group was awarded Academic Excellence Awards 2021-22 for Institute of Excellence (Research) by TV9 Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

viii) The UEM & IEM group was awarded Education Eminence Awards 2021 in Excellence in Placement for Engineering category by News 18 Bangla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ix) Education Excellence Awards 2021 was conferred to the UEM & IEM group in Best Engineering & Management College-Placement category by Zee 24 Ghanta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

x) The University was awarded Innovative Education Awards in the Most Innovative Private University Category on 18th February 2021 by Stars of the Industry Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

xi) The University was awarded CSR Top Hotel Management Institute of India Award on 19th June, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

xii) Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata received a certificate of appreciation for achieving 4.5 star rating out of 5 star for innovation and start up activities. The certificate was issued by MHRD, Govt. of India and AICTE on 22nd September 2020. The news was publicized by various print media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

xiii) Times Business Award was conferred to the University on 12th Feb 2021 at ITC Sonar Bangla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Xiv) The University was awarded Life Time Institutional Membership of Association of Indian Management School(AIMS) on 9th Feb 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
