\n We wish to inform you that as per the University Grants Commission (UGC)\n Guidelines, the minimum class attendance required in all subjects of an\n academic programme (for example B.Tech\/MBA etc.) is 75% failing which students\n will not be allowed to appear for assessment components such as Mid-term Tests\n and Semester \u2013 end examinations.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n The 75% attendance rule is mandatory and cannot be relaxed under any\n circumstances. Absenteeism on grounds of medical and family exigencies shall\n not be considered.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n As per the above rule, students whose overall attendance is less than 75%\n attendance in a subject will not be allowed to appear for mid-semester\n examination and Semester-end examination of that subject and shall be awarded\n \u201cF\u201d (Fail) grade. Students who are detained from appearing in the semester-end\n examination of more than four subjects in a year on account of less than 75%\n attendance will lose an academic year.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n Also, any student who fails in more than four subjects in a year will lose an\n academic year.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n It is requested that the Parents\/Guardians shall impress\/counsel their wards\n to strictly adhere to the 75% minimum attendance rule and also concentrate on\n studies so that they do not lose any academic year.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
