Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee<\/h3>\n

Vice Chancellor<\/p>\n

\n Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee is the Vice-Chancellor of the University\n of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur. A co-founder of the\n university, it has been recognized as the topmost educational institute\n in North-India in the Institution\u2019s Innovation Council rankings by the\n Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, for the years 2021 and 2022.\n <\/p>\n

\n Dr. Chatterjee specializes in Nano-Science and Nano-Technology. His\n research interests extend to Computer Vision and Speech Processing, and\n he has made significant contributions to the field of Applied Robotics,\n with 36 SCI International Journal research papers to his credit. He has\n engaged in collaborative research with the National University of\n Singapore (NUS), contributing to the development of some of the first\n embedded system robotic platforms.\n <\/p>\n

\n In his administrative role, Dr. Chatterjee has implemented the Choice\n Based Credit System in the different university syllabi in India.\n <\/p>\n

\n He is a recognized speaker in QS (world ranking) India Summits, and he\n engages in various media channels and prestigious platforms to share his\n insights on academics.\n <\/p>\n

\n He has received awards from the Govt. of Rajasthan for generating one of\n the highest number of employments in the state through collaborations\n between institutes and industries, as well as recognition from the\n \u201cInstitution of Engineers\u201d for his Engineering Services to Society.\n <\/p>\n

\n In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Chatterjee is involved in\n social ventures, advocating for causes like Adult Literacy and\n children\u2019s education. As a leading Rotarian in the Rotary Club, he\n contributes to provide free basic education to 15000 individuals across\n 25 villages in the country. Registrar<\/p>\n

\n Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar and Provost of University of\n Engineering & Management, Jaipur is a Professor of Physics with more\n than 28 years of teaching experience. He is recipient of many awards and\n accolades in his long teaching career like \u201cBest Academic Leader of the\n Year Award (Higher Education)\u201d, \u201cBest Registrar of the Year Award\u201d,\n \u201cNational Eminent Academic Leader Award\u201d from International Institute of\n Organized Research (I2OR), Ministry of MSME, Government of India,\n \u201cOutstanding Teacher for Excellence\u201d award in academics by Institute for\n Technical and Scientific Research Foundation, \u201cRashtriya Shiksha Gaurav\n Puraskar\u201d from Centre for Education Growth and Research.\n <\/p>\n

\n His academic profile has been selected in \u201c100 Eminent Academicians of\n 2021\u201d by International Institute of Organized Research, Ministry of\n MSME, and Government of India. Dr. Sharma is also a life member of\n Indian Society of Technical Education. He is a member of ISTE, IEEE, and\n many other technical and professional bodies. He is a reviewer and board\n member in many of the renowned international journals like Science\n Publication, SPIE journals, and Kuwait Journal of Science. He has\n published 18 patents, 14 research papers, and 12 books.\n <\/p>\n

\n Dr. Sharma is Director of School of Engineering, UEM Jaipur, Internal\n Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and President of Institution Innovation\n Council (IIC). He is also Coordinator of AICTE, NBA, NAAC, UGC, NIRF,\n and ARIIA. His vision for the next 5-10 years is to make a suitable\n contribution to develop policies for Education 4.0 and train students\n for Industry 4.0 so that the overall impact of Skill-Based,\n Outcome-Oriented, Research-Based Technical Education can be felt across\n society.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n

\n Dr. Umesh Gurnani is designated as Controller of Examination at UEM\n Jaipur and also the Nodal Officer for National Academic Depository (NAD)\n \u2013 Digilocker, an initiative by the Ministry of Electronics & IT\n (MeitY) and a mandatory compliance from UGC.\n <\/p>\n

\n Dr. Umesh Gurnani completed his Bachelor of Engineering in the year 2006\n from the University of Rajasthan. With a strong background and Master\u2019s\n in Industrial Engineering and his Doctorate in the field of \u201cErgonomics\n & Engineering Design,\u201d he has been very enthusiastically\n contributing to the Education & Research sector for the past 15\n years. For the last 11 years, he has been associated with UEM\n (University of Engineering & Management) Jaipur as a Head of the\n Department in Mechanical Engineering.\n <\/p>\n

\n He has successfully executed ASDC Automotive Skill Development Council\n programmes, NPTEL local chapters, ISHRAE Chapter, SAE Collegiate Club,\n UEM Motorsports Club and mentored more than 60 projects for students of\n Mechanical Engineering for UG and PG scholars. Under his guidance,\n students of UEM Jaipur were able to score the topmost ranks in the BAJA\n SAE event & NKRC Go-Kart competition 2017.\n <\/p>\n

\n His research work is mainly focused on Total Quality Management,\n Ergonomic Evaluation, Value Engineering & Reverse Engineering. He\n has experience working with corporate Mahindra Satyam Ltd., Hyderabad,\n for the initial 5 years of his career as a Design Engineer with an\n onsite client GE Consumer Appliances, USA. At UEM Jaipur, he has also\n been leading the Placement Cell for 6 years, focused on rigorous\n training and mentoring of students and placing the candidates for\n profiles with the best future prospects.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n

He is also the Director of the Institute of\n Engineering & Management (IEM) and the University of Engineering\n & Management (UEM), Kolkata.\n <\/p>\n

\n He was a Project Manager with extensive experience in planning,\n execution, monitoring, communicating with stakeholders, negotiating with\n vendors and cross-functional teams, and motivating members. He is a\n Computer Engineer with extensive research experience while doing a\n Master\u2019s in Computer Science.\n <\/p>\n
