{"id":2743,"date":"2016-08-13T18:16:54","date_gmt":"2016-08-13T12:46:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uem.edu.in\/uem-jaipur\/?page_id=2743"},"modified":"2020-06-17T23:23:03","modified_gmt":"2020-06-17T17:53:03","slug":"supervision","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/uem.edu.in\/uem-jaipur\/department-phd\/supervision\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Supervisor"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>The School Board\/BOS, on the recommendation of the DRC, may appoint <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">a<\/span>ny regular Professor of the University with at least five research publications in refereed journals, and any regular Associate\/Assistant Professor of the University with a D. degree and at least two research publications in refereed journals, as a Research Supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Only a full-time regular teacher of the University can act as a Supervisor. No external supervisor is allowed. However, a Co-Supervisor can be allowed in inter-disciplinary areas from the same\/other department(s) of the same institute or from any other related institution, with the approval of the Research Advisory Committee.<\/li>\n<li>The allocation of Research Supervisor for a selected research scholar shall be decided by the School Board\/BOS on the recommendation of the DRC concerned, depending on the number of scholars per Research Supervisor, the available specialization among the Supervisors and research interests of the scholars as indicated by them at the time of interview\/viva voce.<\/li>\n<li>In the case of the topics which are of inter-disciplinary nature, where the Department concerned feels that the expertise in the Department has to be supplemented from outside, the R.C. may appoint a Research Supervisor from the Department itself, who shall be known as the Research Supervisor, and a Co-Supervisor from outside the Department, on such terms and conditions as may be specified and agreed upon by the consenting Institutions.<\/li>\n<li>A Research Supervisor\/Co-supervisor who is a Professor, at any given point of time, cannot guide more than eight (8) Ph.D. scholars.
