{"id":2736,"date":"2016-08-13T18:07:17","date_gmt":"2016-08-13T12:37:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uem.edu.in\/uem-jaipur\/?page_id=2736"},"modified":"2020-06-17T22:20:34","modified_gmt":"2020-06-17T16:50:34","slug":"procedure-for-admission","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/uem.edu.in\/uem-jaipur\/department-phd\/procedure-for-admission\/","title":{"rendered":"Procedure for Admission"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Direct Admission:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>The University shall conduct an Entrance Test with qualifying marks as 50% (a relaxation of 5% of marks to be allowed for those belonging to the SC\/ST\/OBC\/ Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time). The syllabus for the Entrance Test shall consist of:<\/li>\n<li>(a). research methodology (50%) and<\/li>\n<li>(b). subject-specific (50%).<\/li>\n<li>The Entrance Test shall be conducted at the Centre(s) notified in advance by the<\/li>\n<li>The admission shall be based on the performance of the qualified candidates in the interview\/viva-voce to be organized by the Department concerned where the candidates shall be required to discuss their research interest\/area through a presentation before a duly constituted Departmental Research<\/li>\n<li>The candidates who have qualified UGC\/CSIR-JRF\/NET\/SLET\/GATE, or are Teacher Fellowship holders, or have passed the M. Phil. programme with course work recognized by the U.G.C., as per the UGC Regulations (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of M.Phil.\/Ph.D. Degree, 2009), shall be exempted from the written<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Integrated M.Phil.-Ph.D. Programme:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Admission to M.Phil.\/Ph.D. Integrated Programme shall be notified separately.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Entry-level qualification for the M.Phil.\/Ph.D. Integrated Programme shall be the same as applicable as in the case of Direct admissions for the M.Phil. Programme of the<\/li>\n<li>The students of the University who have successfully completed the Phil. Degree with CGPA of at least 5.5 shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in an integrated programme. A relaxation of 0.5 grade points\/ or equivalent, from 5.5 to 5.0, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC\/ST\/OBC \/Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time.<\/li>\n<li>A student of this University whose M.Phil. dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Integrated D. programme of the University provisionally subject to the fulfilment of the requirement for admission within one month of the date of provisional admission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Direct Admission: The University shall conduct an Entrance Test with qualifying marks as 50% (a relaxation of 5% of marks to be allowed for those belonging to the SC\/ST\/OBC\/ Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time).
