Mission of the University, the Civil Engineering program\n        is committed to preparing students who will be thoughtful, responsible,\n        and successful citizens. Within three to five years of graduation, the\n        program expects that Civil Engineering graduates will have:\n      <\/p>\n      <ul class=\"list-style mb-4 text-sm\">\n        <li>\n          Developed their communication skills in oral, written, visual and\n          graphic modes when working as team members or leaders, so they can\n          actively participate in their communities and their profession.\n        <\/li>\n        <li>\n          Established an understanding of professionalism, ethics, quality\n          performance, public policy, safety, and sustainability that will allow\n          them to be professional leaders and contributors to society when\n          solving real time engineering problems and producing civil engineering\n          solutions, keeping in mind both quality and economy.\n        <\/li>\n        <li>\n          Become competent and engaged engineering professionals, applying their\n          technical and managerial skills in the planning, design, construction,\n          operation or maintenance of the built environment and global\n          infrastructure, and utilizing their skills to analyze and design\n          systems, specify project methods and materials, perform cost estimates\n          and analyses, and manage technical activities in support of civil\n          engineering projects.\n        <\/li>\n        <li>\n          Initiated an active program of life-long learning, including studies\n          leading to professional licensure or an advanced degree in\n          engineering, that provides for continued development of their\n          technical abilities and management skills, and attainment of\n          professional expertise.\n        <\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n      <h3 class=\"mb-2\">Civil Engineering Program Outcomes<\/h3>\n      <p class=\"text-sm mb-2\">\n        <strong>Part I &#8211;
