\n Celebrating the Spirit of Sports\n <\/h2>\n\n

\n The University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur,\n observed National Sports Day on 29 August 2026<\/strong>\n with great enthusiasm and active participation from students. The\n programme was organized by the\n National Service Scheme (NSS), UEM Jaipur<\/strong>, to pay\n tribute to the legendary hockey player\n Major Dhyan Chand<\/strong> and to promote the importance of\n physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, perseverance and\n sportsmanship among students.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n National Sports Day is an important occasion to recognise the role\n of sports and physical activity in the overall development of\n individuals and society. The celebration encouraged students to\n understand that sports not only contribute towards physical health\n but also help in developing important qualities such as discipline,\n leadership, teamwork, dedication and the spirit of fair play.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n The programme began with a respectful remembrance of Major Dhyan\n Chand and his immense contribution to Indian hockey and the sporting\n history of the nation.
